Many thanks for your letter

of the 9th of April, and for your good

wishes on my recovery. I am glad to

say that I am now feeling quite fit

once more.

I was interested to read the

statement which you sent me showing

the tenders for various construction

works, involving the use of cement,

called for by the Government of Hong

Kong in January and February last.

FURTHER ACTION.

They certainly show a very large use of

Japanese cement.

As you know, I promised in

answer to your question on the 27th of

March to make enquiries of the Governor,
